ANUPAMA FEEDS AND FARMS is a poultry production and supply chain that specializes in distribution of quality poultry products, headquartered at Kalpane, Kulshekar, Mangalore. We market our product by the brand name IDEAL CHICKEN.
IDEAL CHICKEN
IDEAL CHICKEN is one of Karnataka's leading poultry producers today. IDEAL CHICKEN, the family-owned and operated company was established in 2005 by Mr.Vincent Cutinha, an entrepreneur. Mr.Vincent identified the potential of poultry sales in the market and initiated the company's retail business by establishing the first Ideal Chicken outlet at Kulshekar Kaikamba, Mangalore on 27 September 2005.
Through expertise of Mr Vincent's well balanced analysis of sales, and his determination to take the business a step higher, the company soon established itself with a chain of retail outlets in the last few years. The company now owns 12 retail outlets in the brand name IDEAL CHICKEN.
The company has diversified its operations as Feed Production/Sales, Breeder Production, Hatching, Livestock Production/Sales, Dressed Chicken Division, Institutional/Retail Sales and Online retail Sales.
The feed factory is a marvel by itself housing top class machinery, situated at moodbidri. We produce about 3,000 ton of poultry and cattle feed per month for our own consumption as well as sales to various customers.
The breeding farm situated at a serene location in the outskirts of Belur,fulfills the company's requirement of hatching eggs.
The hatchery situated at Shirthady bridges the gap between the egg producers and livestock market hatching about 2,00,000 chicks per week.
Our integration unit managing about 350 farms is the most skilled department with in depth technical knowledge, involved in the production of broiler livestock. We have a very strong wholesale network supplying to most of the poultry outlets in and around Dakshina Kannada.
The company has its own dressed chicken division with a capacity of 1,000 birds per hour, freshly preparing dressed chicken for supply to various institutions, traders, restaurants and the company retail outlets.
Anupama Feeds and Farms is a pioneer in poultry industry to have its own Android app for convenient purchase of chicken online with various mode of payments like Cash/Card on delivery and Net Banking.
Ideal Chicken is committed to conducting business in an ethical, legal and socially responsible manner by delivering quality and hygienic products to its customers and providing well facilitated,flexible workplace for the employees.
Currently the company provides work for 350 employees. Around 350 indirect poultry farms are associated with the company giving an opportunity to work for around 400-500 indirect labourers. By complete dedication and hard work of all the employees, the company has been able to cross the turnover of 110 crores per annum.
The company's aim is to produce and supply good quality, hygienically processed chicken and deliver it to every kitchen.
IDEAL HATCHERY
Ideal hatchery is a sister concern of Anupama Feeds & Farms, which is situated at Padukonaje, Shirthady road, 6km from Moodbidri. The hatchery serves as a major producer of healthy chicks for the company, where broiler breeder eggs are hatched. The eggs for hatching are supplied from our own breeding farm. These eggs along with eggs procured from other breeding farms are set in the incubators for 18 days and transferred to hatcher's on 21st day where the chicks will be hatched. Chicks are transported to our own farms and are also available for sale. Utmost hygiene is maintained in the hatchery to protect chicks from infection. Currently our hatchery has a capacity of 240000 eggs per week.
BROILER FARMING
IDEAL CHICKEN started its broiler rearing activity in the year 2005. Our unique style of broiler rearing has helped us produce healthy, tendy, tasty and juicy broiler birds. Along with the broiler rearing activity in our own farms in and around Mangalore, we also undertake integration farming wherein subordinates get into contract with the firm for rearing broiler birds for the company. Presently around 350 farmers rear birds for the company in their own farms and are educated and trained to follow the guidelines of the company. Company supervisors visit the farm to collect data and advise them for healthy farming on a daily basis.
The chicks for farming are supplied from our own hatchery that hatches eggs obtained from authentic disease free parent birds. The chicks undergo a careful examination by the expert's team that makes sure that the livestock is disease free before housing them.
The broiler birds are fed with four types of feed, produced by our own feed factory. Expert veterinarians help us feed the chicks with nutritious feed which makes our chicken healthy and tasty. We grow the birds upto 40 days in farms. During this time the birds attain around 2kg of body weight. Tendy chicken is lifted from our farms when it is 28 days old. It is mainly used for tandoori chicken and recommended for cardiac patients, people affected by cholesterol and diet conscious individuals. Juicy chicken is soft and juicy with minimum fat and are lifted from farms when it is 32-35 days old. These birds are mostly used for grilled chicken and restaurants. Tasty chicken is lifted at the age of 38-42 days which is very tasty with normal fat content. These birds are used at home, for parties and catering.
Birds are lifted from the farms by our own fleet of vehicles and distributed with the brand name Ideal chicken.
IDEAL FEEDS
Anupama Feeds & Farms was established on 14th April 2005 with the inauguration of its first feed factory in Karnataka at Moodbidri of South Canara, to produce poultry feed. Since then Anupama Feeds & Farms has been producing quality poultry feed to serve the needs of regional poultry farmers. The major part of the production is consumed by our own integration system. The feed is produced under controlled quality measures and consultancy of expert nutritionists. The prominent productions are

Looking towards the growing demand and successful market, we started our new factory at Papermill, Moodbidri which is a masterpiece by itself. We now produce poultry as well as cattle feed. This is a highly sophisticated, fully automated factory for the production of quality feed. This factory consists of raw material Silos for maize and soya. Major raw material
maize is pre cleaned before storing in silo, thereby eliminating all the impurities from the raw material. It consists of high-tech machinery that consists of auto batching system which prevents manual errors in weighing activity. It consists of digitalized control panel which ensures accurate line production according to the formulation.Our poultry feed is enriched with proteins, vitamins, minerals and fortified with utmost energy. Feeds are presented as mash, crumble, and pellets according to the requirement. Post production of the feed in the factory, it is delivered to the door step of the farmer. We also encourage contracts with bulk dealers for feed supply. The superior quality feed produced by Anupama Feeds & Farms is proven to have best performance in broiler with FCR up to 1.5 for 2kg body weight.
